We are looking for a confident and experienced Coolstore Forklift Operator with strong knowledge of Fresh-cool and Fresh-mobile systems and experience across all aspects of coolstore operations, including loadouts, CCP6 and CCP5a processes to Zespri standards, and safely operating forklifts in three-high racking systems.
This role is initially offered as a fixed-term position through to December, with the potential for ongoing employment from February next year for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity for you to join our team, grow with us, and build a long-term future as a valued member of our team.
About the Role
As a forklift operator, you'll play an important role in keeping our coolstore operations running safely and efficiently by moving and managing kiwifruit pallets.
- Safely operate forklifts in a busy coolstore environment, including three-high racking systems.
- Load, unload, stack, transfer, and manage kiwifruit pallets.
- Support coolstore loadouts and day-to-day operations.
- Work confidently with Fresh-cool and Fresh-mobile systems.
- Follow CCP6 and CCP5a requirements and maintain Zespri standards.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Follow all health and safety, food safety, and operational procedures.
What You'll need
- Proven forklift experience in kiwifruit industry.
- Experience operating forklifts in three-high racking systems.
- Experience with coolstore operations, including loadouts.
- Confident using Fresh-cool and Fresh-mobile system.
- Knowledge of CCP6 and CCP5a requirements and Zespri standards.
- Current OSH Forklift Certificate.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to working safely.
- Ability to work well as part of a small team.
