Coolstore Manager - Kerikeri

We are currently recruiting for a Coolstore Manager at our site in Kerikeri. You will enjoy a high energy and fast-paced role that is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the coolstore including inventory, product and temperature management, health and safety, compliance, staffing and maintenance as required.

More specifically, the Coolstore Manager is responsible for: 

• Timely dispatch of inventory to meet shipping orders and internal transfers to other company sites.
• Management and response to refrigeration plant and coolstore alarms.
• Liaising with external contractors.
• Maintain the storage standards for all products in cool storage to minimise fruit loss.
• Ensure all quality policies, procedures and protocols in accordance with Seeka’s best practice are achieved.
• Ensure all plant rooms, store, yards, canopies and coolstore office are clean and tidy.

• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with various types of people.
• Mechanically minded
• Able to work effectively with others to achieve an optimal outcome
• Able to take an organised approach to all tasks 
• Can articulate a common vision and provide others with a sense of direction.

• Mechanical experience / confident with mechanical equipment
• Awareness of H&S legislative requirements
• Experience working within kiwifruit, horticulture or primary industry
• 5 + years’ experience in a similar role, BRC compliance understanding, knowledge of coolstore operating environment, location control using hand held computer systems
• Current OSH Forklift certificate
• Previous experience using software and other computer based technology either in Seeka specific programmes or using a similar software platform
