Forklift Operator - Coolstore

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of our coolstore operations, where your attention to detail and commitment to best practice will directly support production, packing and shipping performance.

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient movement and handling of product within our coolstores. You’ll work within Seeka and OSH guidelines to ensure fruit quality is protected, workflows are seamless, and operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in line with OSH and Seeka policies
• Ensure timely movement and transfer of inventory to meet shipping and production demands
• Load and offload bins, product and packaging with minimal delays and zero disruption to packing processes
• Accurately identify and locate pallets using scanners and other equipment
• Stack bins and packaging neatly in designated areas, maintaining OSH compliance
• Maintain high standards of fruit care and quality while in cool storage
• Complete forklift checks and ensure equipment is maintained and used correctly
• Keep coolstores clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Accurately complete required documentation
• Support management and assist across other coolstore locations as required
• Pitch in with other duties to help the team achieve operational goals

What Success Looks Like

• Full compliance with Seeka policies and procedures
• Strong awareness of health and safety risks and safe work practices
• Careful handling of fruit and pallets to prevent damage or quality loss
• Confident, correct use of all equipment

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in kiwifruit, horticulture or another primary industry (preferred)
• Entry-level or above forklift experience in a similar environment
• Current OSH Forklift Certificate
• Experience following and implementing company processes and policies
• A reliable, team-focused attitude with a strong work ethic
