Grower Entities Accountant

Seeka is looking for a skilled accountant to join our busy Grower Entities team. The team is responsible for managing Seeka’s kiwifruit and avocado grower entities, ensuring timely and highly accurate grower distributions and other payments that comply with agreed policies. More than $500m in grower funds is handled through the entity bank accounts annually.

About the Role

This is a full-time position and is a varied role incorporating highly detailed and accurate calculations alongside analysis and communication of results and concepts to a range of stakeholders. Our ideal person is an Excel guru, intent on achieving results and not fazed by the detail required to get there. This requires the ability to take a high-level view whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to problem solve. We work as a team and are all responsible for our collective outcomes; your willingness and ability to support the rest of the Grower Entities team, and the wider Seeka business, will be an essential attribute.

You will be responsible for preparing grower payments and monthly accounts, as well as providing analysis to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate accurate grower payments.
• Manage entity cash flow and ensure payments are authorised and paid on time.
• Prepare monthly accounts and support audit and tax processes.
• Assist with financial and policy analysis.
• Assist with entity administration, including policy reviews, contract updates and compliance.
• Support the team through peer review, quality control and collaboration.

About You

• Strong accounting skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to present financial information clearly.
• Analytical, organised and comfortable working to deadlines.
• Experience in accounting, finance or similar roles; CA/CPA pathway is an advantage.
• Keen to work within a collaborative and supportive team.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel.
