Irrigation Supervisor

About the Role

Joining our Seeka Kerikeri Orchard Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and day to day running of our irrigation systems, including maintenance and repairs. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• All aspects of Orchard irrigation;
• Project development and execution;
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair communication, valve, and pipe issues;
• Communicate with Assistants and Managers regarding failures and additional help required;
• Clear maintenance schedule to mitigate any faults
• Maintain a clean irrigation room and irrigation vehicle;
• Maintain an inventory of irrigation parts, replacements, etc.

While not engaged in Irrigation work other duties will be offered.  This may include operating as a forklift driver, truck driver, tractor driver engaged in mowing/spraying activities as well as general machinery and orchard maintenance.

Technical Knowledge

• Experience working with Irrigation or Hydraulic systems.
• Full drivers licence preferably including Class 2 Heavy traffic.
• Experience in Managing teams of people.
• Some Horticultural experience would be an advantage.
