Laboratory Supervisor - Northland

Verified Lab Services (VLS) provides high quality, timely and cost-efficient maturity and technical services to our customers. VLS has been providing laboratory services for kiwifruit for over 22 years.

This role will be responsible for preparing materials for experiments,collecting information and lab samples, conducting field and laboratory experiments, tests and analyses, presenting reports,performing routine calculations, controlling laboratory supplies, calibrating, maintaining & installing test equipmentthroughout the operations of a laboratory.

Skills & Competencies:

Problem solving skills: Identifies the root causes & breaks the problem down into the key issues. Grasps new concepts & can see the problem in relation to the bigger picture.

Detail orientated: An ability to focus on details & ensure that tasks are completed to exacting standards & a good understanding of numerical information.

Self-Motivated: Has an underlying concern for doing things better. Strong verbal & interpersonal skills: Able to communicate clearly & effectively & at the appropriate level with various types of people. 

Required Experience & qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree is required
• Capable with Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous work experience in dealing with data and analysis
• Experience in a primary industry preferred
• Previous supervisory experience
