Orchard Supervisor - Opotiki

We are seeking an Orchard Supervisor to join our team in Ōpōtiki. This is a hands-on, high-energy role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced orchard environment and enjoys leading people to achieve outstanding results.
About the role
As Orchard Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day orchard activities across Seeka-managed orchards, ensuring best practice is followed and optimal production outcomes are achieved. You will lead, train and motivate orchard teams and contractors, working closely with the Orchard Manager to deliver seasonal work programmes safely, efficiently and to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising picking, pruning and general orchard operations to meet Seeka quality and productivity standards
- Training and coaching orchard teams in vine work and seasonal tasks
- Monitoring performance and motivating teams and contractors to achieve targets
- Ensuring all orchard work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Liaising daily with the Orchard Manager to coordinate work programmes and communicate priorities to teams

- Flexibility to work varied hours to meet seasonal demands
Experience and qualifications
- Experience in kiwifruit, horticulture or the wider primary industry
- Awareness of health and safety legislative requirements and practical implementation
- Full driver’s licence and access to reliable transport (preferred)
