We are looking for Orchard Supervisors to join our Katikati & Te Puke teams. This is a hands-on, high-energy role where no two days are the same. You will oversee day-to-day orchard operations across Seeka-managed orchards, ensuring best practice, strong team coordination and consistent production outcomes.

Working closely with the Orchard Manager, you’ll help plan, organise and communicate orchard work programmes, while training and supervising orchard teams to meet seasonal demands.

As an Orchard Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead and motivate picking, pruning and orchard teams to deliver work safely, efficiently and to Seeka standards
  • Oversee all orchard activities to ensure best practice and optimum production
  • Support the continuity of orchard workflows through daily liaison with the Orchard Manager
  • Coach and develop team members in vinework and general orchard tasks
Skills and competencies:

 

  • Clear, effective communicator who adapts to different audiences
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate for the best outcome
  • Organised and proactive, able to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment
  • Quick to grasp new concepts and able to think beyond the immediate task
  • Flexibility to work variable hours as required by seasonal operations
Experience and qualifications:
  • Understanding of H&S legislation and experience putting safety into practice
  • Experience in kiwifruit, horticulture, or the primary industry
  • Full driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred
