Senior Business Analyst – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Seeka is on an exciting journey of system and process transformation, and we’re looking for a Project Business Analyst to play a critical role in delivering new systems that genuinely work for our people and our operations.
This is a 12-month opportunity focused on finance, inventory and operational improvement projects.
This is a hands-on role that blends business analysis (70%), project coordination (15%), and change management (15%). You’ll work closely with finance, inventory, operational, field-based, and technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined, solutions are well delivered, and change is successfully adopted across the business.
Based at our Head Office in Te Puke, you’ll spend time onsite building relationships with key stakeholders and teams.
What you’ll be doing
Business Analysis (approx. 70%)
You’ll be at the heart of understanding how our business works today — and how it can work better tomorrow.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand current operations, systems, and workflows
- Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements
- Develop business requirements, functional specifications, and process maps, including clear business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Analyse finance and inventory processes, including purchasing, stock movements, costing, invoicing, reconciliations and financial controls
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, including ways to simplify processes and automate manual work
- Translate business needs into practical solutions with technical teams and inform build-versus-buy decisions
- Support solution testing, validation, and user readiness
You’ll know you’re succeeding when requirements are clearly signed off, rework is minimal, users are confident with new systems, and solutions go live without critical gaps.
Project Coordination (approx. 15%)
You’ll support effective project delivery by keeping things organised and moving.
- Support the Systems Development Manager and project leads with coordination of project activities
- Coordinate meetings and workshops with clear outcomes
- Maintain project documentation and reporting
- Track risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate early
Change Management (approx. 15%)
You’ll help ensure new systems are understood, adopted, and embedded.
- Support change management planning and delivery
- Conduct stakeholder impact assessments
- Develop training materials and user guides
- Support training and post-implementation activities
- Gather feedback and assess adoption

You’ll bring:

- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, including;
- Leading complex requirements gathering
- Working across business, technical, and operational stakeholders

It would be great if you also have:
