Site Manager Seeka Gisborne



The Site Manager will support the effective day-to-day operation of Seeka’s Gisborne post-harvest business, working across packing, pre-packing, coolstore. Assisting with harvest, operational and maintenance planning.

The role will work closely with the Regional Manager and wider Gisborne leadership team to ensure people, plant and processes are effectively coordinated to meet operational requirements, fruit performance expectations and business objectives.

A key focus of the role will be to:

  • Support and coordinate daily packhouse, pre-pack and coolstore operations.
  • Assist with harvest and fruit-flow planning to ensure fruit is received, packed and stored effectively.
  • Coordinate operational and maintenance planning to maximise plant availability and minimise disruption.
  • Support labour and resource planning across the operation.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, food safety, quality, compliance and operational standards.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, fruit performance and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with growers, harvest teams and internal stakeholders to support effective planning and communication.
  • Provide leadership and support to supervisors and operational teams, developing capability, accountability and effective decision-making.
  • Support the Regional Manager with operational planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help develop the Gisborne team and operational capability to support the continued growth of the region.

The Site Manager will be a hands-on operational leadership role, providing support across the wider Gisborne operation while helping build the people, systems and capability required for future regional growth.
